Highland Park 56
CAMPAIGN & PHOTOGRAPHY
For the concept of the campaign the challenge was clear: how do we encapsulate the essence of Orkney—its wild beauty, rich heritage, and artisanal craftsmanship—into a single, visually arresting campaign?
Collaborating with Potlatch agency and master miniature artist and filmmaker Sebastian Jern, we set out to craft a world inside the whisky bottle itself. Every scene in our Hero Film was meticulously built by hand, down to the finest details—the texture of the casks, the rugged Orkney landscape, the interplay of light and shadow. The final reveal of the floating island was a crucial moment, symbolizing the whisky’s extraordinary origin and its connection to the rare, remote and remarkable culture and identity of Orkney.
Beyond the film, we extended this vision into a campaign Key Visual and a set of beauty photography showcasing the bottle in settings that balance quiet luxury with elemental grandeur. Whether against a golden sky or set atop its floating island, each image reinforces the campaign’s message and whisky’s characteristics: Rare, Remote & Remarkable.
This campaign was a true labor of love—a fusion of storytelling, craftsmanship, and artistry, much like Highland Park 56 itself.
Swedish filmmaker and miniature artist Sebastian Jern is a master of crafting breathtaking scenes from his meticulously hand-built miniature worlds. For the Highland Park 56 launch film, he recreated Orkney in micro-scale, capturing its distinctive landmarks and architecture.
“I crafted every miniature scene of the 56 film by hand, and some of the more complex shots took weeks to produce. In some ways, my process is quite similar to how Highland Park made the whisky. It’s about taking time and paying attention to every detail to create something unique.” Sebastian Jern.
